BS EN 1090-1 – Millweld are Execution class 2
BS EN 1090-1 is a European standard that specifies the requirements for the conformity assessment of structural steel and aluminum components used in construction. It’s a crucial part of the Construction Products Regulation (CPR) within the EU and the UK, ensuring that these components meet safety and quality standards. Specifically, it mandates CE marking (and UKCA marking in the UK) for these products, demonstrating compliance with the standard.
BS EN ISO 3834-3 Quality requirements for fusion welding of metallic materials
BS EN ISO 3834 deals with quality requirements in welding and identifies the necessary controls and procedures. ISO 3834 is not a quality system standard intended to take the place of ISO 9001, but a useful, additional tool.
BS EN ISO 3834 is intended for the fusion welding of metallic materials, and its application is independent of the products manufactured. However, its principles and many of its detailed requirements are also relevant for other welding and welding-related processes.

Swimming With The Big Fish
Following our submission to the Swimming with the Big Fish SME Matchmaker Service for the PPP Mechanical Pipework package, Millweld Limited are delighted to announce that we have been judged as a Gold Matchmaker SME – February 2022.
Hopefully this will lead to long term contracts at Sellafield Ltd which will enable us to expand our business and create good quality local jobs.
Solomons Europe is delivering the Swimming with the Big Fish SME Matchmaker Service for Programme and Project Partners (PPP), a 20-year framework of megaprojects which aims to transform project delivery at the Sellafield site, its supply chain and the socioeconomic landscape of Cumbria.
